Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown @ Norcal

I was able to attend Norcal this year. It turned out to be a great event. My focus was on Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown. I finshed 10th at Norcal. Here are some pics of the bracket (up to the top 8) and videos from the event. Also included is some footage of the different gameplay modes that will be in the game at release. One bit of info for those that want to the know, the game will be a 1.91 gig download on both the PS3 and Xbox versions of the game.

Arcade Stick Size Comparison - Hori VLX, Street Fighter X Tekken V.S., Street Fighter IV TE

One of my friends asked me to compare the difference in size with the Hori VLX, Street Fighter X Tekken VS, Street Fighter IV TE. I took these pics for him, but rather than delete I am just adding them to the blog. Also of note, I modded my Street Fighter X Tekken V.S. stick from the stock pic for one with Virtua Fighter 5 R characters.

For me it comes down to this:

Hori VLX                                    - Best Arcade feel, not good for travel.
Street Fighter X Tekken V.S.       - Great Arcade feel, good for travel.
Street Fighter IV TE                    - Good Arcade feel, Great for travel.

Sega Naomi Game Cases

I was looking for some new cases to store my Sega Naomi Games and found some at staples (the office store). The Naomi cart fit in the case quite well and the cost of the case was around $7 i think. You may be able to order the cases from the company who makes them directly.

Dead or Alive 5: Kasumi vs Ayane vs Akira

A new trailer for Dead or Alive 5 was released. The big news is that Akira from Virtua Fighter is in the Game. This huge news and it could lead to a DOA Vs VF game in the future.
